Anniversary Celebration 2019, Millennium Galleries

Edward Carpenter’s 175th Anniversary of his birthday (29th August 1844) was celebrated at Millennium Gallery, Sheffield. The Carpenter Sandals were on permanent display, other sandals featured on The Sheffield Archives and Libraries stall alongside artefacts from the Carpenter collection. Thanks to Louisa Briggs (Millennium Galleries), Clara Morgan (Weston Park Museum), and Cheryl Bailey (Sheffield City Archives and Local Studies Library).
